Since skincare is expanding into every possible type of thing we could ever think of needing, sleeping face masks have been becoming popular within the beauty industry recently and since I received one in my Glossy box I decided to put it to the test.

This post is all going to be around my thoughts on the Dr Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask which is a hydrating overnight treatment which is said to create a brighter, healthier looking complexion.

To really make this post fair and give my honest opinions I have been using this mask for around 3 weeks now. This is the first type of sleeping face mask I have ever tried and it really hasn’t changed my skin much up to now. If anything I’ve noticed that when I wake up in the morning I have a lot more spots than what I went to sleep with. That’s not because I’m allergic to it, but its said that some products bring all your spots out fast so they will go away quicker. Unfortunately after 3 weeks I can’t say they have gone anywhere but bigger.

It says on the back that you’re meant to apply a thin layer 2-3 times a week but for the first week I tried it I applied it every night thinking nothing of it which might have been a problem. This is a Vegan product so completely cruelty free which is amazing but unfortunately not the best for me and doesn’t exactly give the best name for vegan products. I’ve used Dr Botanicals products in the past and loved and even re-purchased some so I am rather disappointed with the outcome of this.

For the brightening aspect, I can’t say I’ve noticed any difference, I have a very structured face where some days my cheek bones appear a lot more defined naturally that I’ve noticed a lot more recently, but overall it’s not doing my skin any justice which was its purpose.

I will on the other hand keep trying it and update you guys if I’ve changed my mind or discovered something more too it.

If you’re a reader of my blog, you probably know by now how much I adore using face masks so it is likely for me to venture out and look into some different brands for sleeping face masks and if I find one I like you can guarantee I’ll be making a post on it.

Thank you for reading, and if there are any other brands/products you would like me to check out or any fashion post ideas then please leave a comment down below.
